I’m giving this product three stars because it took two months to get back the results. If you’re looking to get the results quickly, this might not be for you. Aside from the long, wait, the product was very easy to use and send back. Once my dog‘s DNA was analyzed and I received the results. It was easy to interpret and had a lot of good information about my dog and hermakeup. I was definitely surprised to see the majority of her breed was Chesapeake retriever because she does not look like a retriever at all.

Results 18 days after I mailed! The collection process was easy and the kit included a pre-paid envelope. Ancestry texted and emailed updates. I did get an email

Results 18 days after I mailed! The collection process was easy and the kit included a pre-paid envelope. Ancestry texted and emailed updates. I did get an email "your dog's DNA has been fetched", but the results were made available the next morning. My girl is a rescue, so I was curious to know what her secondary breed/s were. I was surprised, but could shocked. Overall, I think the test is fun and had interesting insights. There are several 50% DNA matches, but I don't think they are littermates like in human DNA tests (which I've taken.)

This is quite possibly the easiest breed ID test kit I've ever seen. A simple swab of the dogs cheek is all that is required. I filled out the online register for

I filled out the online register for my dog, which is mix of what I think is dachshund, golden retriever, German shepherd, among a whole host of other possibilities. The kit comes with a self-addressed, postage paid return box for easy return of the sample taken. I highly recommend this DNA test kit for in-home testing. I got this product and used it on my youngest dog, who is a mystery as far as his 'mutt status' is, LOL! So I hope to know more when the results come in. It was easy to use, with clear directions. All the needed 'equipment' was supplied, and then the product came with a postage paid little box, as well as a protective bag to place the sample in...which was easy to obtain, by the way. The company responded with a message to my email, that told me they had received the sample and when to expect my answers. It is also an easy and simple thing to register Benji, my mystery pup, to their data base.

I was super excited to find out what my dogs history was so I rushed to send this in. The kit itself was super easy to use. You just swab your dogs mouth which was fairly simple, then put it into the box and send it back. In a few weeks, my results were ready. The report is fairly thorough and gives great information regarding your dogs lineage. I highly recommend doing this for your fur baby.

Received the test in the mail and was very excited to see what the redults would be for our rescue. The test came with very easy packaging to send back to company

Received the test in the mail and was very excited to see what the redults would be for our rescue. The test came with very easy packaging to send back to company. The hardest part was getting the sample from the dog. I wish there had been a vetter visual of.the best way to swab a dogs mouth. I sent the test off 1 1/2 months ago and am still waiting on results. Will be very disappointed if i dont get them back. Will have to see if i can track it down somehow.

Explains her bark lol. We love that it broke down the precentages for us. It says she's 51% rootwelier. Knowing info like this is good so as she ages we can look for factors that are breed specific for her health. We also love that we can see relatives of our pup and where they are located.

I used this test for my adopted granddogter. As she was adopted and we were curious as to her breeds and want to know potential health concerns. She was the best!

I used this test for my adopted granddogter. As she was adopted and we were curious as to her breeds and want to know potential health concerns. She was the best! Collection was easy...she was a bit lucky...but it wasn't bad at all and easier than others I have used. Popped it in the mailer and off to the post office. Now to wait to find out. I highly recommend this test for ease of use and such a small amount of time necessary.
