I don’t know how well this works. My vet prescribed this for my cat because we couldn’t get the liquid into him. These pills are too big for a cat. They can’t be crushed or cut. They are also too big for the “pill popper” to hold. Do not purchase for a cat, even if your vet orders them.

This med was prescribed off label for our cat who was having severe itching and lesions that weren’t healing well. Within a few days, she was suffering from muscle

This med was prescribed off label for our cat who was having severe itching and lesions that weren’t healing well. Within a few days, she was suffering from muscle spasms, unsteadiness, and severe lethargy. Took her to our vet who said it probably wasn’t related. When I showed it to a second vet, she immediately said to take her off of it and that she no longer prescribes it for cats since it has so many side effects. When we took the cat off the med, she did improve though she is still wobbly. But she is eating better and is less lethargic. Muscle spasms have lessened dramatically. To be fair, the cat is very old (we don’t really know how old). This probably contributed. The med did help with the skin problems greatly. It just wasn’t worth the side effects (and there are a lot listed). Chewy remains great. To an issue there!

My poor Zora has all the allergies you can imagine, grass, trees, most common foods, human skin cells, dust, you name it. When I say we have tried EVERYTHING I am not exaggerating. We have tried every medicine, multiple vets, dermatologist, two rounds of allergy shots, etc. NOTHING has given this poor girl relief, until my vet suggested this. I was skeptical since nothing has worked and the price is pretty steep, especially for a 80 pound dog. However, it is worth the bill because she is finally not licking and itching her entire body constantly. If you have the means I highly suggest giving this a go. She’s been on it less than a month and the changes in her are incredible. Hoping when we go back to the vet for the liver test next month her bloodwork is in a good place and we can lower her dose in time for a lower cost but SO worth it to see our girl finally getting some relief and is back to her happy energetic self
