I just received my shipment and the probiotic container was warm to the touch since it was shipped in the middle of Texas summer. Will this product still be effective? It says to keep in a cool dry place.

Answer by CatsPJsFeb 21, 2024
Fed Ex left mine in the blazing NC summer sun. I called the company and was told that the product was still viable and to go ahead and use it, but I had my doubts. I returned it to Chewy who refunded me.

Where is this product made? Where are each of the ingredients sourced?

Answer by ChewyNov 22, 2019
This probiotic is made in the USA. The probiotics are all from USA. The inulin is derived from Organic Agave which is from Mexico. The FOS is from Belgium. The Organic Acacia is from Senegal.

Is this formula third party tested for any heavy metal contamination?

Answer by ChewyAug 09, 2021

Love that it’s tasteless. At each feeding, Crumpet waits for her food with a side of Churu. I use only half of what is suggested and mix it with an entire tube of Churu. I make extra effort to mix it well. Transfer it to her plate next to her food and she eats it right away. Sometimes she walks away and leaves half but comes right back. Haven’t given it consistently, when she has issues. The issue went away that same night. Also, bought this for a friend’s dog who had a major problem and she couldn’t afford a vet. It cleared his issue up and he’s been thriving. In my opinion it’s a very good probiotic.

Helps, please keep flavoring free!

My dog has IBD and is on a strict hydrolyzed protein diet which means he can’t have any supplements with any flavorings. Have been using this for over a year now since after he had an extremely severe IBD episode that required an emergency visit where the vet said to start him on probiotics and it has been helpful in managing his IBD which is primarily vomiting but not always just that end. He never even noticed the addition of this product as far as desire to eat his food but I do mix everything together not just dump it on top. I have also used pumpkin powder with his food but that has been for far far longer than this product and before the IBD.

We are trying out different prebiotics and supplements for our 12 year old labradoodle who has developed a yeast issue. This one did not work for her. She did not care for the power on her dry food and her yeasty skin got a little worse while she used this. We tried it for 2 months and will be moving on to something else...I'm not sure what. We also are bathing her every 4 - 5 days right now and drying her using medicated shampoo per the vet's recommendation, but her eyes, ears and skin are still itchy and not doing well. That's just our dog though and her particular situation - could work great for other dogs I'm sure.

I have 4 cats, each with their own quirks.. What i notice in my cats is one has less bloating, one doesn't have upset tummy or soft stool when introducing a new food, one who LOVES his dry food doesn't have hard stool, and the last one has less upset tummy from holding hairballs too long and seems to be able to flush out the toxins from allergies giving her days with less inflammation issues. All my cats do not like a full scoop of this... maybe its a texture thing? it's hard to say.. but even a consistent small amount makes a difference and i for sure can see a difference when i give them a break from it for too long.

We have been using a competitive product for more than a year with great results, but this product has less processing steps, and at the least, "appears" more natural, PLUS, it is more cost-effective because the directions state we can use half the amount of our prior prebiotic.

Keeping and will use on alternating days for my Senior Girl (Feline). May be if they added a liver flavoring it would be better. I don't know if I will reorder but it does have lots of strains. Maybe I should use this in combo with a topper versus buying the expensive liver flavored single strain. Will see!

I’ve been giving my 7-month-old puppy FERA PETS Probiotics with Organic Prebiotics for a few weeks now, and it’s been a game-changer for their gut health. It’s reduced the number of upset stomachs and even made their coats shinier, all without any hassle. The vet-formulated organic powder blends seamlessly into their meals, and with 60 servings in the jar, it’s become a staple in our household.

I’m by always reading about the importance of gut health ( for humans) and how sn imbalance in the gut is the source of so many ailments. Both of my cats have kidney issues and one has liver issues and I figured it was worth a try to see if they’d take it and if it would benefit them. They do accept it mixed in their food with no issues! That’s a huge hurdle. It’s too soon to tell how it might be affecting their overall health but I can say it’s resulted in better pooping with almost no smell. That’s right. Poop that doesn’t smell! I even if that’s the only benefit, we’re customers for life!

I used to feed Avita in the packets but one of my cats had renal issues and someplace I read it was an irritant. So I went looking and found this. I like that it’s in a container with a scoop there is less waste. Who knows if it makes a difference? Anyway I am feeding it.
