About Us
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abandoned and neglected cat and dogs. APR provides daily care for 150 cats and 35 dogs at our shelter and participates in 100 community events a year to promote pet adoption and advocate for animal welfare. APR became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 1996 and depends on volunteers and donations to help save lives. Most needed supplies include dry and wet kitten/cat food without dyes, wet dog/puppy food, cat/dog treats and toys and indestructible dog bones.
