About Us
Since 1995, Foothills Animal Rescue (FAR) has been helping homeless pets throughout Arizona; specifically, the metropolitan Phoenix area. Our beautiful, award-winning Brynne Smith Memorial Campus & Adoption Center in Scottsdale is an adoption-guarantee facility. That means the dogs and cats at FAR remain in our care until they find a loving home. For some, adoption will happen in a matter of hours or days, but for others, it could take months to find a family. Upon entering our Campus you will notice the clean and quiet environment. This isn't your typical animal shelter! Dogs are housed in spacious suites while cats live in a variety of community cat rooms (each with a window to survey their surroundings). There are no bars or cages here. An outdoor play yard complete with splash pad and misting system becomes a favorite spot of many of our shelter dogs (and volunteers). At FAR, the pets are part of our family while they wait to be part of YOURS!Find Us

Our Adoption Process
Adoption Fees:
Puppies (<6 mos) $300
Dogs (>6 mos) $250
Senior dogs (8+ years) $125
Kittens (<6 mos) $150
Cats (>6 mos) $75
All our animals are adopted out spayed/neutered, microchipped & up to date on vaccinations for their age.
