About Us
Vindicated Pit Bull Rescue (VPBR) is a foster-based, all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to saving and advocating for pit bull-type dogs, especially those from Prince George’s County, MD—where breed-specific legislation prevents them from being adopted locally. Founded in 2014, VPBR has rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed over 250 dogs, offering each the second chance they deserve. We focus on thoughtful intake, behavior support, and foster matchmaking to ensure lasting placements. Our dogs often come from high-risk shelters or urgent medical situations, and we provide the care they need—from basic vetting to complex surgeries and training. VPBR is committed to changing public perception, challenging discrimination, and celebrating these resilient, loving dogs as the companions they are meant to be.Find Us
