I always have squirrels, blue jays, cardinals, doves, and other small birds in my yard at my feeders when I refill them, except when I put this bird seed out for

I always have squirrels, blue jays, cardinals, doves, and other small birds in my yard at my feeders when I refill them, except when I put this bird seed out for them. They simply will not touch it. Even the squirrels, who eat any kind of seed, ignored the feeders and the ground where I poured some of this seed mix. The ground hogs who live next door won't even eat it. I don't know what happened to this bird seed, but I won't be buying it again.

The actual seed is good quality. However, my most recent bag has a lot of non-seed “filler” that looks like twigs and wood chips. The birds pick these out of the bird feeder and dump them on the ground with other seed, creating a lot of spillage and waste. I have not encountered this with other seed companies and will buy from a different vendor if this continues. (Please pardon the orange hue - I keep my bird seed in an orange Homer bucket.)

We love all of gods creatures and we always have enjoyed having the wild birds come to our feeders. Especially since it is painfully obvious that so many species of birds have been negatively impacted by the damage to our earth and fewer and fewer are seen in our area. We are willing to do whatever we can to help them survive. This is a very good quality seed and it is a very good price and of course the convenience of home delivery.
