We have a med/long-haired cat that has problems with hairballs. We have tried so many different products, and this is the only one that helps. If we are consistent about giving this to her (daily), she only produces a hairball every 1-2 weeks, as opposed to every few days. Unfortunately, she won't take the gel alone--we need to mix it into a churu. But I'm glad we have found something to help her out.

My cat Zeus started to throw up hairballs a few months ago. I thought I would need to put a dollop on his nose to entice him to lick it up, but he goes crazy when I pick up the tube! I use it as a treat because of how much he loves it. Along with regular brushing, this has made his hairballs practically nonexistent.

I have a long-haired cat who is fastidious in his grooming. I also comb him every day to remove loose fur. However, I can count on finding a hairball every two weeks. I did have an incident before using Laxatone when my cat had a large hairball that he could not purge. My vet suggested I use a hairball gel. I mix around a two-inch ribbon of Laxatone in his morning canned food meal (he refused to eat it out of the tube), and he has no problem eating it. Since I've been using the gel, I don't have to worry about my cat not being able to get rid of the ingested hair.

Purchased for my medium haired cat who needs help digesting hair balls. He makes me put it on his paw, nose, chin, leg, or any spot I know he can reach. I can't put too much or he flings it off. It earned 4 stars because my 2 short-haired cats LOVE it and will come when called when the tube is involved.

This really works well for my cat. While he is not a long-haired cat, he does a fair amount of grooming which leads to hairballs and vomiting. With just a little pearl sized dollop of this supplement each evening, his problem is resolved. My only wish is that this gel could be packaged as a pump bottle, as the tube gets pretty messy after a while.

None of my cats would ever willingly take hairball gel. It was always a losing battle. I’ve tried different brands and flavors over the years. The Laxatone tuna flavor is a winner with my Toby. He gets constipated and this keeps him regular. Plus he actually licks it off my finger. A first, and truly a win-win!

My medium hair cat grooms herself all the time and as much as I love her I do not love hairballs on my couch. Or under the bed. Or on the stairs. At first she was hesitant to try this product because I was trying too hard to get her to taste it and she caught onto it. I squirted some onto the countertop and walked away and she lapped it up. The rest of history. Over the past three weeks have used there have been two hairballs! Instead of probably 5

Early June and early July, my 8-year old boy was experiencing some digestive issues. He'd run around from box to box, crying and trying to poop but nada. So before going to the vet, I found this productive and it wasn't expensive and figured it'd be easy to add to his feeding routine. I also now give him pumpkin puree plus this tuna flavored hairball gel, thinking both would alleviate future issues. Now, this cat will literally eat anything, I mean ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT RESEMBLES FOOD...sadly, he HATES this stuff. (Side note: at least my other cats love it.) I have to be really sneaky and mix it with other food so he'll eat it. Sigh. I'm still waiting to see if this stuff helps...since he's had issues at the beginning of this month and last month, so hoping come August and thereafter, he's well lubed up internally between this gel and pumpkin puree and no more issues...

Luckily the cat who loves this is the cat with IBD and a hairball problem. He seems to be having fewer hairball events since starting on this. And he considers this an absolute treat. The other cat would benefit from it but doesn't consider it to be food. I would give it 5 stars except for the cat that won't eat it.
