Any efficacy is moot if Cat won't eat it. I bought these back in Dec. '24 to help my cat with road trips. I'd say on the 1-10 Picky Cat Scale, he's a pretty solid 2, for which I feel pretty fortunate, and he'll eat just about anything I offer him. However, these calming treats are so repellent to him that no matter what I mix them with, he promptly abandons the entire portion. It makes no difference how much I dilute or what normally irresistible snack I mix it with, he smells it right away, makes a sad attempt to eat it, then gives me a look of betrayal and leaves, offended by my surreptitious trickery. The first time I offered him the snack he took it and ate it unsuspecting, but tried to spit it out right away once it started dissolving in his mouth. I did notice it had a calming effect on him shortly after that, but I've never been able to get him to eat it again, even after waiting several weeks between attempts, so while I think it's probably pretty effective, my cat finds it too disgusting for it to be of any benefit to us.
